I AM
i am am not what i want. i want to be to be perfect and flawless flawless and successful in every way every way i tried to fulfill my dreams my dreams get crushed and butchered butchered to death and nonexistence. nonexistence, i wish i could be could be gone from this harsh world this harsh world has me feeling sad sad is something that doesn’t go away. go away, i wish i could say i could say goodbye goodbye would be bad bad makes me sad sad i am. Am I okay? ~ Alexis Forbus Alone
I am colorful and alone. I wonder why it is this way. I hear their repetitive nonsense. I see the black & white world. I want them to be colorful, too. I am colorful and alone. I pretend I am like them, but I feel like a flamingo in a flock of pigeons. I worry they will never change. I cry for help. I am colorful and alone. I understand I cannot change them. I lie and say that's okay. I dream of a world in color. I hope they won't forget me. I am colorful and alone. ~ Brittney Copeland Pain, Love
There is thunder in your veins There are storms in your vessels a sweet pain and the boats that traverse your blood carry a weight so careless and heavy your gravity pulls me in, always The carriages of your mind are whispers to my ears the dark places shine even as you hide them away they are yours and you are mine and they are mine the blossoms under your nails outwardly express the incoherence of my love wordless, soundless but boundless and infinitely deafening as its echoes reflect repeatedly, glancing off my bones, rattling in my hollow ribcage empty, full, fall pain, love Your wordless sounds captivate and your soundless words entrance, if this is love, this sweet pain, this constant elated fear, then neither History, Time nor Death can us part then it never ends. Endless agony, endless ecstasy You and me tangled in sheets that cling and youth that sighs with the breath of all those before us Let it be enough. -Tynan Holt |
The Rain is Pouring Relentlessly Tonight the rain is pouring relentlessly tonight- as i lie in my bed of endless sorrow nights like this i wonder if i'll ever be alright- if i'll live to see tomorrow i don't know what's best- only that i shouldn't dwell maybe the next one will pass the test- because you & i did not end well i don't miss you i miss who i was before you the rain is pouring relentlessly tonight ~ Brittney Copeland Life~~~~~ You were birthed to this world all curious and new. Out of billions of people you are you. You smile softly as you grow. You learn and soak up things you didn't know. Your emotions are wild and so You relax in the rain, feeling the wind blow. As a teen your mind wanders about life. You go through obstacles and you sacrifice. As an adult you have more of an understanding. But your day consists of lots of planning. Years have passed and now you’re old. You are much wiser, courageous and bold. Throughout your life span you have learned one thing. Life goes by as quick as the big bang. There's not much you can do but just smile. And go through the journey for a little while. Today is now your day and your eyes are closing. Your heart slows down and the truth is exposing. You see a tunnel and a bright light. But don't be afraid because death doesn't bite. ~ Dakota Workman Penguin
It will not fly. It will not change colors. It will not talk. It will not play games. It will not write a novel. It will not run. It will not read books. It will not have hands. It will not ever stop being adorable. ~ Alexis Forbus Believe
I do Believe In something, in someone Maybe nothing. But I do not Believe whatever Being could be out there would stand for the Blade swung in his Name or the teaching that people will Burn for knowing the wrong Face. I do not Believe A Right and Just Creator would Condemn some for Being who they were Born as and Eternally reward those who harm them for letting their Light shine. I do not Believe that some deserve Happiness Everlasting for an hour in a Church while others face the Flames for one Wrongdoing but a life of attempted Goodness. I do Believe If there is anyone listening that they would not see the lines as we do But rather be as is said, Right and Just. -Chloe Lowetz |
Moving with the Military When I was a kid I moved a lot My dad never stopped Being transferred New friends everyday New reps to be made I was bullied by Most anyway You’d be surprised If you knew how cruel They had been but I always won In the end -Taylor Murphy Young Curls Large hands Lift small feet above the ground, Spinning around and around. Soft curls bounce and sway to the rhythm of deep laughter. Elegant hands Hold a lens to capture memories for when hands no longer can. ~Isabel Feris |
Don’t
Big, small, tall, short, pretty Its always different What they expect smart, Dumb, gay, bi, lesbian You don’t fit in if they don’t approve Black, white, Mexican the rules are Segregated between us, they Say were one voice one nation Then they decide Everyone's not equal prettier Is better, smarter is better, your white Or your nothing, they choose the white Over black just because of color not because Of education they choose straight over gay because Gay is not okay, they choose pretty over the girl They said didn’t fit there standards because they Were trying to make everyone the same, Don’t be unique they said its better To be like everyone they like, They want you to change but not for you for them, Don’t be too crazy, don’t go out to much, Don’t be hasty, don’t eat too much, Don’t eat too little, don’t be curvy, Don’t be skinny, don’t be weird Don’t be dramatic, don’t be to smart Don’t be too dumb, don’t work to hard Don’t be lazy, don’t have to many friends Don’t be a loner, don’t be a tomboy Don’t be emo its attention seeking, Don’t trust to little, don’t trust to much, Don’t read to much, don’t read to little Don’t, don’t, don’t there's always something Negative to say with something your doing, They say don’t change, then they try and Change you in the worst ways possible, If you don’t listen your never gonna learn, Then again why would you wanna listen, Maybe just don’t. ~ Victoria McNett |
Incinerated
I sit outside as the rain takes its leave,
the air is soft and clinging.
It envelops me in a cold blanket of dew drops,
soft and smothering as a cloud,
I breathe them deep.
Try to glean the hope of their symbolism.
They say rain means a new beginning, starting again.
You'd think I had gills the way I breathed that water.
Maybe I was trying to cleanse my insides.
Somehow,
despite all that water,
my insides are still
incinerated.

Not Dead Yet
Swords clashed, man and animal screamed, their blood lust making them one of the same. Animals who fought with shrewd cunning like men, and men who fought with vicious savagery like the animals on the field. The sky filled with midnight stars; scattered shapes of the coming carrion birds. Here to steal away the chance the fallen had of an honorable death. Their awful screeches formed a symphony of death in the darkening skies.
Here he stood alone, watching the terrors unfold around him. Here he stood in fear, his last breath bleeding out of him like the rivers of scarlet blood that watered the field where men once lived in peace. He was to die here, along with the omnipotent world, he understood his fate clearly. He had been brought here for a reason.
He was to fight for the home behind the battlefields. Fight for the warm embrace of his love, fight for the innocent smile of his daughter. Fight for the warm sunny days they had once spent together. If he was never to return to peaceful happy days, if he was to perish here; carried away by death with the cries of once proud men ringing in his ears, so be it. His sacrifice, he swore, would end this. He would give away his hopes for yours and mine. For theirs and hers. He would die, but his legend live on. A story told to little boys beside hearth sides so that on that day, they too might complete a deed of pure courage. Dying for your beliefs is quite common actually. The real sacrifice is living and suffering for what you hold dear. And by the gods, he was not dead yet!
